Temporary Local Rules

Preferred Lies – 5th & 10th holes

When any part of a player’s ball touches part of the general area that has been cut to fairway height or less, the player may take free relief once, by placing the ball no more than one club length, no nearer the hole from the original position of the ball.

Current Course Playing Conditions

The following playing conditions are in effect:

1.    Staked Trees and Shrubs

With significant new plantings, members are reminded that complete relief must be taken from all trees, shrubs or grass tufts that are staked or guarded, if they interfere with the lie of the ball, intended stance or the area of intended swing.

[Refer to Applying the Local Rules – Young Trees, Shrubs and Grasses]

2.    4th Hole

A No Play Zone (marked by black stakes) applies to the left-hand side of the fairway, adjacent to the bunker. The nearest point of complete relief must be taken in the general area (i.e. not in the bunker).

3.    5th and 6th Holes

A No Play Zone (marked by black stakes) along the left-hand side of the 5th hole starts approx. 100 metres from the teeing area, continues for the full length of the fairway, including the newly formed mounding up to and around the rear of the 5th green and adjacent to the 6th tee.

The excavated area between the 5th and 6th holes is a No Play Zone.

A ball coming to rest in sandy areas adjoining the newly built tees and NPZ’s is to be played as it lies.

4.    10th hole

A No Play Zone (marked by black stakes) has been positioned near the left-hand side of the 10th green. Free relief at the nearest blue stake must be taken.

[Refer to Applying the Local Rules – Dropping Zone]

5.    13th and 14th Holes

A No Play Zone associated with the 15th fairway and the associated construction areas, is in effect when playing the 13th and 14th holes.

6.    Organic Matting

The organic matting used in revegetation areas is ‘integral to the course’ and the ball must be played as it lies, or unplayable ball relief taken.
