Hole 3 Information
The longest par 3 on the course plays to an elevated green perched on one of the few native sand ridges on the front 9 of the property.
The siting brings the interesting linear complex of pine covered sand ridges located between the 2nd and 3rd holes as a hazard along the right side of the long par 3.
The green is large and undulating with a slight left to right bias and has been kept open at the front left to allow a running approach access to the green. A deep bailout area on the left of the green may seem to be a safe miss avoiding the revetted bunkers on the left but can prove to be a difficult up and down.
Pushing over 210m in tournament play, this hole adds to the demanding few opening holes at Glenelg. Stay out of the back left bunker especially if the flag is front left as a save from here is next to impossible.
