Hole 2 Information
The 2nd hole is the first of the longer par 4’s at Glenelg. The large sand dune defining the inside of the dogleg remains exposed, with native grasses and large pine trees creating a challenging hazard.
At the outside of the dogleg, a hybrid fairway bunker is in range for the longer hitter who fails to shape the drive from right to left, but out of reach for most average golfers.
A small bunker is nestled into the approach but appears to sit on the front right corner of the green. This subtle green has some strong roll off areas on the right and back left but a short left to right approach should feed your ball into about any pin location.
The bunkering style used, with its sod revetted faces, is a feature of the course, which harks back to the traditional British links.
