Hole 14 Information
The 14th hole plays as a mid-length par 3 to a slightly elevated green with its bunkering and run off areas reminiscent of some of the great subtle Scottish par 3’s.
Often played down breeze, the tee shot needs to be well struck to hold the gently undulating green, as the steep drop over the back makes recovery very difficult. A running approach shaped from left to right is possible but made difficult by an approach bunker some 20 metres short of the green, which also makes club selection from the tee deceiving.
2 bunkers on the left protect a back left pin position making a direct attack to this pin to be reconsidered. A larger turf run off on the right of the green may seem like a good miss but if the pin is hard right this up and down may prove to be a tough test.
This hole is beautifully framed by native sandy heath, water, and pine trees and is indicative of the character of the closing holes of the course.
