A great time was had by all today at the inaugural Maggie Stewart Memorial Golf Day, played in honour of the late Maggie Stewart, who sadly passed away in 2014.
In her Will, Maggie left a generous legacy of funds to be put towards providing women with a competition day in her name to be held annually at the Club and for providing a perpetual cup to be housed in the Club’s trophy cabinet.
After discussions with the Women’s sub-committee, it was agreed to inaugurate the Maggie Stewart Memorial Trophy as a special 4BBB stableford event followed by lunch at the Club with presentations of the perpetual cup to follow lunch.
