Glenelg juniors in SA Junior Development teams

Four of Glenelg’s up and coming junior members have been selected in Golf SA’s Junior Development teams to compete against Victoria at Bordertown Golf Club in March.

Liam Kennewell and Jackson Kalz have been selected in the Metropolitan team whilst two of our newest junior members, Lachlan Barker and Ben Layton, have been selected in the Country team.  Both Barker and Layton remain members of their grass roots home club, Willunga Golf Club, and live in the McLaren Vale/Willunga area.

The development teams, comprising six girls and 12 boys (six country and six metro boys) will compete from 7th to 9th March 2015 at Bordertown Golf Club for the Cudmore-Cheney Junior Girls Trophy and the SA Junior Boy’s vs Victoria matchplay event.

On the team announcement, Golf SA’s development coach, Allan Telford said “the players selected are development players and this competition gives them a great opportunity to further develop and test their skills at a higher level against an interstate opponent.”
