Understanding the Rules of Golf

Some golfers will say that the Rules of Golf are too complicated and are difficult – even impossible – to understand. 

Others will say that they do not need to study the rules as they have been playing for years and know what the rules are!

Neither of these statements reflects the true situation.

Club member, and past Captain, Peter Norman, has spent a number of years researching and understanding the Rules of Golf.  Peter is a widely experienced rules official and referee who has a strong academic interest in the Rules of Golf. 

To help everyday golfers, Peter has recently written a book, Understanding the Rules of Golf, which he says offers “an easy to understand guide to making your own Rules of Golf decisions, with speed and accuracy, regardless of your playing ability of golfing experience.”
