Tight tussle at Tea Tree for seniors

Glenelg’s Senior Pennant team managed a narrow and exciting win over close rivals West Lakes, to keep themselves in with a very good chance of making the finals playoffs.

Chris Whitford, making a welcome return from his travels, and John Keogh both secured strong wins at the top of the order, but the two matches that swayed the content were great battles.

Firstly, Denis Prider, 1 down after 10 holes managed to win four of the next six to accomplish a great 3/2 victory.

It was left to Andrew Grieve to secure the vital fourth win. One down with two holes to play, he manages to win both for magnificent 1up victory.

With only two more rounds to play, this was a very important result.
