Sam Raschella has found form at the right time with two solid rounds of 77, 76, 153 to take out the leading qualifiers position in the 2013 Boys’ Club Junior Championship played at Glenelg on Sunday.
Despite injuring his shoulder midway through his second round, Raschella was able to block out the pain and easily take out the number one position by seven shots from Josh Hayes, who fired rounds of 79, 81, 160.
Will Starkey qualified 3rd with consistent rounds of 81, 81, 162, with 12-year old Liam Kennewell claiming the final position in this week’s matchplay finals with rounds of 85, 84, 169.
