Members on Tour Update

South Australian Amateur

This event for men and women was held at Kooyonga from 24-27 September and we had 4 members competing.  The event comprised of 36 holes stroke play with the top 16 in each field progressing to the match play rounds to determine the champions.  Our best performer across the two rounds was Nathan Uebergang in 20^th place on +9 with Kade Bryant in 55^th position and Kyle Feltus 58th.  In the women’s event Maiya Jakupec was 21^st on a score of +27.

Victorian Junior Open

Jack Leonard was our sole entrant in this major junior event held at Barwon Heads and Thirteenth Beach from 23-26 September.  The event was contested over 72 holes and Jack performed well improving as the week progressed with scores of 79-75-71-71 = 296 to finish on +12 and in a tie for 22^nd.  He was 8^thin the Under 16 section.

PGA Tour of Australasia

The Australasian PGA Tour will get underway in earnest next week at the WA PGA Championship at Kalgoorlie where we will be following the fortunes of Jack Buchanan who will be exempt into most events by virtue of his 12^th place finish at Qualifying School back in April.  The first event was the PNG Open in August in which Jack finished in a tie for 13^th on a score of 9 under.  Jack Tanner will also be looking to pre-qualify for various events.  Keep a lookout also for our teaching professional Adam Bland who will be teeing it up in a number of events across the summer.
