Our round 5 win was a strong 4/2 win against Royal Adelaide played at Royal Adelaide.
Good wins were recorded by David Smelt (his first win for the club after 3 previous halved games! – well done David), John Keogh, Howard Slater and Brian Welsh.
The team for week 6, to be played at Grange West against Grange on Friday August 16th from 8am is as follows: Pete Jeffrey, John Keogh, Tony Martin, Wayne Humphries, Howard Slater and Brian Welsh with James Mattsson and Paul McGrath as reserves. Please report to Grange West by no later than 7.30am.
The following week is The Final and we will be playing against Grange at Glenelg from 8.30am. Following golf, there will be a Presentation Luncheon at player’s expense. All players who have played through the year are encouraged and warmly invited to attend the “informal” luncheon.
The squad for the Final is as follows: Wayne Humphries, Pete Jeffrey, John Keogh, Tony Martin, James Mattsson, Howard Slater, David Smelt, Nick Wake and Brian Welsh. The final team will be finalised after selection meeting early next week. Stay tuned!.
