CONDITIONS OF PLAY

  1. The Club Foursomes Championship & Handicap event is open to all male Full, Provisional, Six Day, Intermediate, Weekday and Junior members.
  2. The Championship event will be played over 18 holes of scratch stroke play. The pair with the best stroke score over 18 holes will be the Club Foursomes Champions for 2024. In the event of a tie for 1st place, a sudden death play-off will apply.
  3. The Handicap event will be played over 18 holes of handicap stroke play in each grade. The pair with the best net score in each grade will be the Grade Foursomes Champions for 2024. In the event of a tie for 1st place, a countback will apply. Pairings will be graded on the day of the event in accordance with the lowest handicapped player in each pairing, and that a player who is in a higher grade must play on the maximum handicap allowable in that pairings grade (ie. A pairing with a B and C grade player must play in B Grade, and the C Grader must play off an 18 handicap). Grades will be based on daily handicaps as follows:

    A Grade: up to 12
    B Grade: 13 to 18
    C Grade: 19 to 36
  4. For the Championship event, motorised carts may only be used where a medical certificate has been lodged with the club. This condition does not apply to the Handicap event.
  5. Any competitor who is not on the tee and ready to start at their appointed tee time will be penalised under Rule 5.3a
  6. The match committee reserves the right to limit prizes to one prize per pair, per grade.
