Last week Kade Bryant played in the Port Phillip Open Amateur over 72 holes at Commonwealth GC. This event also serves as qualifying for the Victorian Amateur Championship with the top 16 going through to match play. Kade had a good week with scores of 71-70-77-70=288 to be +4 for the week. He finished in a four way tie for 16th which meant there would be a four way playoff for one place into the match play. He birdied the first play off hole to survive but a par on the second hole saw him eliminated. Tough game this golf!
Next week from 6-8 May Kade, along with Jack Tanner who is making a return from US College, will be representing SA in the Australian Interstate Teams matches being held at Southport in Queensland. Good luck to Jack & Kade!
