Glenelg’s Cleek Stick team have suffered another agonising defeat, going down to West Lakes, three matches to two, at The Grange Golf Club on Monday.
Janet Fleer and Libby Neuling got the team off to a great start with convincing victories at positions five and three; unfortunately Peggy Lau Flux and Barb Deed faced some tough competition, going down in their matches, squaring off the ledger. The result came down to the 17th hole of the number four match, with Ros Henderson losing a close match 2/1, giving West Lakes the victory.
Well done girls – a great effort once again by the team.
