The Golf SA Open Day was played in glorious conditions at Royal Adelaide Golf Club on Tuesday, 16th April 2013. A full field of 108 players from twelve different clubs took part in the 3BBB Teams Stableford.
The girls from Glenelg reigned supreme with Margaret Whelan, Megan Woods and Arja Korhonen (group pictured) combining for a fantastic score of 48 to get home on a countback from Louise Walters, Kristen Jackman and Di Gilkes of Royal Adelaide.
Grange was also well represented with Patricia Anderson, Jill Kennare and Marie Sanderson taking out 3rd place on 44 points.
The exciting fact about this win, is that all three Glenelg members are graduates of the Women’s Try Golf program. Speaks wonders about our coaches!
