Sanderson Cup Win Semi-Finals

Sanderson Cup Win Semi-Finals

Semi-Final, 7 July

The Sanderson Cup Team bounced back & played really well to win their semi final against Kooyonga in style at home, 3.5 matches to 1.5

It was always going to be a challenge for the girls with our number one player away but the to their credit they played excellent golf with the toughest pin placements I have ever seen at GGC.

Congratulations girls and let’s see if we can beat the Grange team next Sunday at Kooyonga!!

Sarah playing number one stepped up her game and hit some incredible irons, with a magnificent eagle on the 5th. She was 2 up with 2 to play and as our team had won 3 matches her match was stopped.

Well played Sarah and well caddied Chris, you are a great team!

Elysia had to play the tough opponent Hayley Hunt and played great golf and putted really well all day winning 2 & 1. Keep up the great form for next week!

Emma Sutton relished the home course advantage & did not let her opponent Lyn McGough into the match at any stage. She played really well against a very experience opponent – a great win Emma!!

Shakira was never challenged in her match taking a commanding lead and won very convincingly 7 & 5. Well done Shakira and keep up the great form!

Jade drove the ball well all day but struggled with her short game against Deb Percy a very experienced match player. She is the youngster in our team & I am sure she will bounce back as she is a very positive young person and would have gained invaluable experience from the loss.

Many thanks to all who came out to watch and we hope to see you all at Kooyonga next Sunday to support both teams!

Thanks to all the wonderful caddies that have supported the team all season!

Grange will be going for 5 wins in a row so I think it is our turn this year. You will see some wonderful golf from these great girls so hope to see you out there next Sunday at Kooyonga and cheer on our team!!
