Sanderson team flies into Final

Our girls had a convincing win against Royal Adelaide winning the first 3 matches very easily and therefore the other 2 players did not need to finish as we had a result.

No. 1 Charley Jacobs – Charley was 2 up after 12 holes and played excellent golf with a very good start to be 2 up after 6.  She never let this lead go and after 12 holes was still 2 up when her match was called off.

No. 2 Elysia Yap – Elysia was 1 up after 12 holes when her match ceased and was playing very well on the back nine to finish strongly after being down early.

No. 3 Sarah Crocker defeated Juliet Hugo 7/5.  Sarah played really well all day and her opponent was never in the match.  She finished her last 3 holes with 3 birdies, a very impressive win.

No. 4 Josie Gale defeated Anne Ellis 7/5.  Josie started well and was 3 up after 4 holes and continued her solid form throughout the match for a very convincing win.

No. 5 Shakira Kuys defeated Julie Michelmore 6/5.  Shakira also got off to a great start and with her mature course management and great golf she never gave her opponent a chance of winning.

The girls all played well however we now take on the top team and our arch rivals over the last 6 years The Grange.  They are without their top 2 players and I feel confident our girls are playing well enough and are focussed on winning this Sunday.  As always we would love to see some Club members out supporting all our teams at Grange on Sunday.

We are teeing off at 10:55am on the East Course at The Grange, immediately following our Simpson Cup boys.
