A win for the Pike Cup team

Who said this was winter?  The weather was perfect on Sunday, 1st of July when we played Tea Tree Gully at Royal Adelaide and won 4.5 – 0.5.

Tilly Wheare played Julie Oldfield and was square going down the penultimate hole, she won the hole with a birdie and halved the last to win 1 up.  Well done Tilly.

Sam White played Lyn Watts and had a convincing 9/7 win.  I think the score does the talking for Sam’s game, well played.

Tilly Miels started strong against Libby Emery and continued down the path to win 6/5.

Bec Hughes played Kay Hamlyn and they had a fairly close match with Bec winning 3/2.

Fiona Eblen played Doreen Schultz and finished square, she played well and it was a close game, the margin no more than 1 up or down all day.  Thanks Fiona for stepping in for the unwell Louise Pike.

Thank you once again to our caddies: Jack Wheare, Cathy Symons, Sandy Dolman, Brian Hughes and Wendy Vaughan.

We are currently on top of the leaderboard with Grange second.  We play our last match of the season next week at Kooyonga against Grange.  In another match Royal Adelaide play Kooyonga, the outcome of these two matches will determine the two finalists.
