Glenelg’s Lachlan Booth has won the second Golf SA Junior Open of the 2012/13 SA Junior Summer series.
Players faced ideal conditions at both Glenelg for round one and The Grange (West) for round two.
Booth claimed the boys title after solid rounds of 74 & 70 for a 36 hole total of 144 (1 over the card) to win by two strokes ahead of Kooyonga’s Jordan Bishop 72, 74 (146).
Jordan Black (Flagstaff Hill) with a net total of 142 won the net aggregate event by 4 strokes ahead of Andrew Nakone Jnr (Grange).
Other Glenelg boys to feature in the results included Jake Hurst (eq. 5th), Will Starkey (7th), whilst Sam Raschella and Jack Hynes rounded out the top 15.
In the Girls Open, Cassidy Evreniadis, playing off a handicap of 5, finished 3 strokes ahead of Ella Adams (Grange) with rounds of 83 & 76 (159). Jin-young Yun (HCap 20) claimed the net event with net scores of 74, 76 (150). Lucinda Tye (Blackwood) was runner up.
Glenelg’s Matilda Wheare finished 6th and Jacqueline Walter finished 8th in the Girls event.
