116 players played the City Mazda Hospitality Day with 29 being visitors from 13 different clubs ranging from as far as Burra, Murray Bridge, Port Augusta and Victor Harbor. It was a most enjoyable social day and all the ladies were thankful for no rain and wind.

City Mazda, and City Mazda General Manager Phil Greig, were once again very generous with their prizes with the long drive for A, B and C grades and nearest the pin on the 3rd, 11th, 14th and 16th holes for all grades.  The competition of the day was a Canadian Stableford with the third score of 32 points to Jo Rawson (Glenelg) and Toni Angus (Glenelg).  Runners up score was 34 points to Anne Marks (Glenelg) and Vicki Meeke (Westward Ho), with the winners with 36 points to Jill Hodge (Glenelg) and Toffy Perkins (Royal Adelaide).

The raffle, which was two nights’ accommodation and two rounds of golf plus breakfast at the Riverland, plus use of a Mazda vehicle for the two days was won by Lois Glanfield (Flagstaff Hill).

A big thank you to Shane and Golf Operations for the smooth running of this event with the day having a perfect ending with a superb lunch catered for by our Chef at the Glenelg Golf Club.
