Glenelg members Jack Buchanan and Lachy Barker were both in action last week at the Gippsland Super 6 held at Warragul GC in Victoria. Jack had an excellent week in just his second event as a pro finishing T5 to bank his first cheque in the play for pay ranks. A stunning third round 63 to be 10 under saw him qualify in the top 8 just 3 behind the leader and earning a bye in the first medal match play round. A nice win in the round of 16 was followed by a one shot loss in the quarter final. Lachy finished 2 under after 3 rounds and didn’t advance to the match play rounds. He surrendered his position at the top of the Order of Merit but remains well placed in second.
This week the tour moves on to the Victorian PGA at Moonah Links. Lachy and Jack will be joined in the field by fellow Glenelg member Campbell Rawson who has received an invitation as a past champion of the event. Best of luck to all three of our members.
