Pauline Sanderson Bowl 2019

The weather was just perfect for playing golf on Monday 26^th August when 9 ladies from Kooyonga arrived to challenge Glenelg for the Pauline Sanderson Bowl. Glenelg won this event last year at Kooyonga and were keen to retain the trophy for another year.

This event has been played since 2012 and was initiated by Pauline Sanderson to provide ladies with a GA HCP between 20 and 30 with an opportunity to play matchplay.

After the 9^th hole, the match was very evenly poised and with 8 matches concluded, the score stood at 4 matches each. This did make for an exciting finish to the day as the last match finished on the last hole with Kooyonga winning 1up. Kooyonga won the Bowl 5 matches to 4.

Pauline Sanderson was guest of honour at lunch, which was held in the dining room and Pauline presented the trophy to the Kooyonga team.

Thank you to the Pro shop staff for setting up the event and to our hospitality staff, James and Luke, for taking care of the ladies throughout lunch.

Thank you also to our valiant team of Glenelg ladies for a great effort on the day.
