Tense A3 Match at North Adelaide

Round 4, 27 May

Round 4 – the A3’s played undefeated Blackwood, and finished the day with a well fought squared match!

Our two winners were Sandy Francas and Jo Ricourt:

Sandy, playing number one, held a commanding lead after nine holes, being 5 up, continued playing positive golf, finishing at the 12^th, 7/6

Jo Ricourt played another strong game, was also 5 up at the turn, also finished at the 12^th. Again long accurate drives set up her strong win.

The other three matches were so close, all concluding at the 18^th

 Juliet Culley, playing number 5, was 2 up after nine, had a very even contest over back nine. Juliet was square at the 17^th,  just missed a put on the 18^th to finish with the narrowest loss.

Sue Tuohy had a very even match, was one up after nine. This match came down to wire, unfortunately Sue was just edged out, also 1 down.

Jo Lendrum was 2 down at the 10th.  Some accurate putting, and a “slam dunk” on the 14^th, from approximately 30 metres, resulted in a win on this hole, squaring her match. Jo was one up playing the 18^th, but an unlucky bounce found the ball in the fork of a tree! 

A well fought match was squared.
