Women’s A3 into the Grand Final

Although the A3’s were narrowly defeated by Flagstaff Hill at North Adelaide, the team has progressed to the final next Monday (9th July) at West Lakes against West Lakes.  Congratulations!

Again our number 1 and 2 players had very strong wins.  Sue Raggatt held a commanding lead after nine holes, being 6 up, and continued to play superb golf to finish with a 8/7 win.  Jo Lendrum’s 6/5 win saw her finish the minor rounds undefeated, her long drives setting up another powerful win.

No. 3 Jo Ricourt was 3 down at the turn, won a couple of late holes to nearly overtake her opponent but unfortunately lost 2/1.

Wendy Vaughan and Jill Gehling both were edged out over the back nine recording a pair of 3/2 losses.

Again congratulations and thanks to our most supportive caddies Cathy Darling, Fiona Eblen, Joy Green, Jayne Staridas, and Heather Waddy.

So far it has been a strong season from the team and an excellent effort in making the final, hopefully we can bring home another trophy in 2018.
