Glenelg Golf Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Imelda Lynch and Paul Gander to ordinary vacancy positions, and Carolyn Dillon to the extraordinary vacancy on the Committee of Management (COM).
We would also like to thank Kay Nyland for her 9 years of service on COM.
Imelda, a 17-year GGC member, has spent 25 years in leadership positions in both the public and private sectors and is currently CEO of the Heart Foundation SA. Paul is a PGA professional by trade and has been a member of Glenelg Golf Club for almost 30 years. Carolyn joined Glenelg 10 years ago and is currently the Asia Pacific HR Leader for large multi-national Defence company Lockheed Martin.
Congratulations to Bevan Roberts and Greg Rundle who now take on the Captain and Vice-Captain roles respectively for the next 2 years.
Finally, a big thank you to hard-working, out-going Captain Paul Duregon. Paul has been very visual around the Club over both the past 2 years of his captaincy and the 6 years on COM prior to that.
Congratulations to Imelda, Paul and Carolyn on their election to the Committee of Management and thank you to all candidates for their interest and support of our Club.
The Club is also pleased to advise the proposed constitutional amendments to allow electronic voting for future COM elections and the provision of proxy votes was also passed by the membership.
