Glenelg Grange Foursomes Challenge Cup

Unfortunately Glenelg lost to Grange in the Glenelg Grange Foursomes Challenge Cup on Monday, 26th March, with very little in the final score.  It is an unusual format with each pair’s net score is adjusted against the par of the course.  The final score was Glenelg 91.5 against Grange 83.5.   I am sure every one of the pairs playing could find eight shots that were wasted.

Foursomes is a hard game at the best of times, so it was pleasant that there was a lot of laughing and carry on amongst all players.

This Challenge between Glenelg and Grange has been going since 1974 so it was great that one of the initiators of the Trophy, Marg McAlister was at the presentation.

The lunch supplied was excellent and we look forward to challenging Grange next year at Glenelg.
