Glenelg has jumped three places to 36th in the biannual Australian Golf Digest Top 100 rankings. This equals the Club’s highest Golf Digest ranking, a ranking once held in 1994. With the addition of new courses, Ocean Dunes and Cathedral Lodge, into the top 20, this is a great achievement.
“It’s a hallmark of the longevity of our ranking – how a course can return to a peak ranking it held 24 years ago. Glenelg finally edges back there after three ranking in either 39th or 40th position. While the bulk of the major redesign work took place nearly 15 years ago, the club has new plans to alter some front-nine holes that could aid its climb in the future.” Golf Digest.
Our Golf Australia Magazine ranking is still ahead despite slipping five places to 30th with the judges particularly impressed with the selection of par 3 holes the course offers.
