The Burgandy Trophy was played on Monday, 2nd October 2017. The event was a two person stableford aggregate with seven pairs within one point of the winning score. On 70 points, Harry & Chris Larsen edged out Ian & Ros Henderson and Richard Yap & Samantha White on a count back.
The is a big break before the next Pairs & Partners event which will be played on Australia Day in 2018.
In the meantime, the Owen Whitford Trophy will be played in conjunction with the Golf SA & Club Mixed Foursomes Championships on Sunday, 3rd December. For more information and to book, follow this link.
Order of Merit
The Pairs & Partners Order of Merit runs in conjunction with the Membership Year (1st April – 31st March). There are six OOM events throughout the year. Points are awarded to pairs with 10 points for 1st, 9 points for 2nd and so on. Each pair who hands in a card in an OOM event receives one point. for that event.
The final event of the series, the Don Harris Memorial Canadian Foursomes is worth double OOM points.
With their fourth place finish in the Burgandy Trophy, David Brand & Cathy Symons (30 Points) have increased their lead to 9 Points and will be tough to catch. Paul Grosvenor & Elysia Yap (21 Points) are best placed to do so, another 9 Points ahead of the rest of the field.
