On Tuesday, 27th June the Maggie Stewart Memorial Golf Day was held at Glenelg Golf Club in memory of Maggie Stewart, a great Glenelg Member who passed away in 2014.
Teams for the forthcoming round of the Golf SA Pennant season have been announced.
Playing at The Vines this week we were matched up against the home team who made the most of their “home ground” advantage winning all five matches.
We began this morning under threat of rain but were so fortunate not a drop fell, although quite chilly we were very grateful.
The Sharp Cup Team travelled to The Vines to play against Kooyonga in a top of the table clash in round four of the Sharp Cup. In good conditions the Team had a very impressive 5 to 0 win.
The team played Mt Osmond at Royal Adelaide, starting on the 14th tee and needed a win to cement their place at the top of the ladder.
With only 2 rounds remaining, the 2 undefeated teams, Glenelg & Kooyonga, did battle at Flagstaff Hill. A Bonnar Cup Finals spot up for grabs to the winner and it was Glenelg who triumphed with a hard fought 5 to 2 victory.
