Darren Royals & Greg Rundle appointed to Committee

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Darren Royals and Greg Rundle to ordinary vacancy positions on the Committee of Management (COM).

We would also like to thank John Ranaldo for his services over the last three years on the Committee of Management, and we hope to see him back on the COM at some stage in the future.

Darren is an accountant by trade, and has been a member of Glenelg Golf Club since November 2002. Darren has thoroughly enjoyed his time at Glenelg both from a golf and a social perspective.

In Darren’s current role he works directly as the CEO to a Trustee Board in the Financial Services Industry and has experience that will enable him to make a valuable contribution to the future of Glenelg Golf Club.

Darren’s priority will be to ensure that we remain “a club of choice” but also that the option of being a member of Glenelg is as affordable as possible. “We have a great facility, I would like to see as many people as possible be able to appreciate it, both now and into the future.”

We welcome Darren to the COM and look forward to his contribution to the management and strategic direction of the Club.

Greg Rundle has a professional background in accounting and finance, and for the past 20 years has helped run a successful chartered accountancy practice that specialises in business advice and financial management for individuals and businesses alike.

Greg is passionate about golf. “It is very imperative that we consolidate the excellent foundation that has been laid and continue to build the “brand” of Glenelg Golf Club. The sustainability of our premium product is of the utmost importance and should not be compromised, even though there are competing priorities for our capital currently. We need to carefully manage all expenditure going forward and I am acutely aware of this on behalf of our membership base. We have however recently deployed some capital on the western car park, netting for the range and sails for the upstairs outside area which are all important additions.”
