Fiona Pike Cup (A2) team start season with win

On a beautiful Autumn day at Flagstaff Hill Golf Club, Glenelg were victorious against Mt Osmond in their first match of the season, three matches to two.

Playing at number five position, Sue Raggatt had a closely contested front nine but stormed away with some good golf on the back nine to win 4/3.

Louise Pike had a very difficult match against an eleven year old who had no fear as eleven years do. Louise got to square after the 9th but her opponent gathered momentum to win 4/3.

Cathy Symons lead most of the day being 4 up through nine eventually winning 3/1.

Emma Sutton had a tight match being 1 down through 9 holes eventually losing 3/2.

Playing at number one, Matilda Wheare played some great golf eagling the 8th hole and going on to win 2/1.

It was a good start to the season and I thank those members who took the time to come to Flagstaff Hill Golf Club to support our players.
