A Grade Gross Girls Winners – Centre: 1st Charley Jacobs (152), Left: 2nd Jin-Young Yun (167), Right: 3rd Taylah Cooper (173).
Glenelg’s Charley Jacobs won the SSSSA State Championship Gross Girls event played at The Grange Golf Golf Club on Monday, 16th May 2016.
70 players participated across 3 divisions, with 50 playing 36 holes to compete in the A Grade Division.
Jacobs fired an impressive 74 in the first round on the East Course at The Grange, followed by a 78 in the afternoon round. She finished with a gross score of 152, fifteen shots ahead of Jin-Young Yun from The Grange GC, who finished in 2nd place.
17 Glenelg juniors competed in the Boy’s events, with Darcy Burns winning the B Grade Net Competition with a score of 67. Calvin Perks and Lachlan Roberts finished 2nd and 3rd in the B Grade Gross competition.
Harrison Burner finished 2nd in the A Grade Net Competition with a score of 142. Glenelg junior members Jack Buchanan, Jack Tanner and Frank Vucic all finished in the top 15.
