Our second Captain’s Lunch for 2015 has been scheduled for Friday, 4th December with special guest Michael Hnyda, Chief Executive Officer at the SA Investment Attraction Agency.
Michael is responsible for establishing the new agency and its approach to attracting inward investment. The focus of the new agency will be to work closely with its existing customers on new investment and employment opportunities for South Australia.
He is a Chartered Surveyor by profession and was a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors for 28 years and has extensive business experience in both the public and private sector.
Michael previously was Deputy Director of the Welsh Government, Inward Investment and Trade team and prior to that that held Director roles with International Business Wales, and the Welsh Development Agency, who were all focused on attracting global inward investment to Wales.
The three-course lunch will feature Samuel’s Gorge, which are hand crafted wines that are distinctly Australian with reference to the old world for texture, complexity and harmony. Having great patience, the fermentations of each parcel of fruit are long and slow in open slate fermenters which date back 100 years.
The grapes are pressed off using traditional basket press methods with the wines being transferred to oak to mature. These many components are then blended together to achieve harmony within each of the Samuel’s Gorge wines.
