2013 Foundation Day injects $18k into junior golf

The annual Glenelg Golf Club Foundation Golf Day was held on Friday, 23rd August 2013 and saw over $18,000 raised for the Club’s Junior Development Program.

The presence of 1990 US PGA Champion, Wayne Grady, created a buzz around the Club, with member and major sponsor Troy Perriam, of One Solution Mobile & Data, and his guests tackling our challenging layout with the golfing legend. Wayne commented on the tremendous condition of the course and even took time out to introduce himself to our junior golfers and talk about their futures in the game.

Greeted by a sausage sizzle before the 12:00pm shotgun start, the team from the Stamford Grand Hotel took out the Team Ambrose event.  Dinner commenced at 5:00pm with two-time Bradman Medalist Ben Hook again emceeing the evening after his exceptional work last year.  An interview with Wayne Grady had the 168 guests enthralled with some interesting comments on Tiger Woods and some great stories about his tournament wins and near losses.
