Glenelg’s Jack Hynes has taken out the SA boy’s final of the Aaron Baddeley Junior International event in a three-way playoff at North Adelaide on Wednesday.
Three players finished tied on 70 after the qualifying round – with Hynes joining Ben Tucker and Jordan Bishop in a three-way playoff. It took until the fifth playoff hole for Hynes to claim the title ahead of Bishop. Tucker finished third after being eliminated on the fourth playoff hole.
The Boys net winner was Elliott Willgoose (Echunga) on 69 with Glenelg’s Haydn Booth runner up with a net 71.
The Grange’s Ella Adams claimed the girl’s title after a solid round of 81 to win by one stroke ahead of fellow members Kristalle Blum (82) and Cassidy Evreniadise (83). Jin-young Yun (Grange) with a net total of 77 won the net aggregate event by 1 stroke ahead of Glenelg’s Matilda Wheare on net 78.
The top two boys and girls placegetters, being Ella Adams, Kristalle Blum, Jack Hynes and Jordan Bishop, will now compete in the Aaron Baddeley International Junior Australian Final on 18th and 19th October 2013 at the Heritage Golf and Country Club, Melbourne Victoria.
