Glenelg’s Women’s Grade 1 team have jumped to the top of the leaderboard with a convincing 5-0 win over previous top team, Royal Adelaide, at Grange Golf Club on Sunday.
Royal Adelaide were never in the hunt against the Glenelg side, who were too strong across the board. The only close match was between number one players Jenny Lee and State Captain Caitlin Roberts, with Jenny claiming victory 1up.
Other winners for Glenelg were Jill Hodge 4&3 over Juliet Hugo and Sophie James 5&4 against Megan Bleeze, while Josie Hodge won her match with Jovanna Bozanic 4&3 and Elysia Yap overpowered Carolyn Cochrane 6&5.
