Glenelg’s Head Teaching Professional, Gareth Jones, has been nominated for Sport SA’s 2012 Coach of the Year Award, with the winner to be announced at the KPMG Celebration of South Australian Sport on 23rd November at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

2012 KPMG South Australian Sport Hall of Fame inductees and Sport SA Award Finalists announced!

The announcement of the 2012 inductees of the KPMG South Australian Sport Hall of Fame was conducted at KPMG Headquarters on the 11th of October 2012. The five new inductees were named in the presence of His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR Governor of South Australia.
These outstanding South Australian sports stars join the prestigious group of 30 inductees in the KPMG South Australian Sport Hall of Fame including two teams from 2010 and 2011. In this short time of three years since inception, the Selection Committee, led by Dr. John Daly OAM, has selected from 145 nominations which have been submitted by Sport SA members and the public.
“The KPMG South Australian Sport Hall of Fame is now three years old and is still in its infancy but we are now recognising our sporting heritage” said Sport SA CEO Jan Sutherland.
“These outstanding athletes and sporting support staff have enjoyed outstanding performances and also bring the qualities of respect, loyalty and honourable behaviour to be truly great sportsmen and women.”
