REMINDER: No carts or buggies on tees

This can only be described as pure laziness and completely disrespectful towards the golf course and the rules and regulations we have at our Club.

People say it does not happen.  Members say they do not do it.  Well, here is the undeniable proof that motorised golf carts are being driven onto teeing grounds.  Given the parking area for golf carts on the 8th tee is only 20 paces from where this golf cart has been parked – this can only be described as pure laziness and completely disrespectful towards the golf course and the rules and regulations we have at our Club.

Members are reminded that motorised golf carts, gophers and hand buggies are not to be taken onto tees under any circumstances.

Wear and tear is at its greatest this time of year, and with the recent cool and wet wintery weather conditions, the impact additional traffic has on our teeing grounds is exacerbated.

Motorised Cart users are also reminded of their obligations as follows:

All persons who use a motorised cart shall agree to abide by the following rules:

  • Two people only may ride on the cart;
  • Only two sets of golf clubs may be transported on the cart;
  • Carts must not be driven within 5 metres of tees and greens;
  • Soft ground and muddy areas must be avoided at all times, as must areas of sandy rough;
  • Carts must be returned to the point of hire at completion of a round.
