Jill Hodge has taken out her fifth Women’s Club Championships, defeating her highly respected opponent, Sue Tuohy 7/5 in today’s 36 hole final. After leading the qualifying, Jill went into the match play format as the red hot favourite to take out this year’s title and continued her good form, playing solid golf in today’s final.
In other matches, Annette Rieniets defeated Peggy Lau Flux 2/1 in their 27 hole final, while Cheryl Hunt defeated Margaret Harris 2/1 in the C Grade Final. Sue Margitich was too strong for Stephanie Meek in the C Grade Plate Final winning 6/5.
