Community Golf Coaches are a vital link in providing clubs the best opportunity to recruit and retain new members. Golf SA is committed to training, developing and mentoring Community Golf Leaders to assist the new golfer to learn the game and to join a golf Club.
Community Golf Coaches are generally volunteers. There are also opportunities to earn a small income and not infringe amateur status. They will be trained to deliver basic golf instructions to new golfers at schools, local community and club level. A Community Golf Coach will normally work under the supervision of the Golf SA develop team.
Community Golf Coaches Training & Assessment days are being held regularly in both metropolitan and country locations. The Active After School Care Program also forms part of the assessment day. At the completion of the assessment participants will receive a certificate from Golf SA and the Active After School Care Organisations.
